The tea ceremony is conducted with elegance and finesse yet without any pretentiousness, formality or theatre. This is simply the way tea is served and shared amongst friends, colleagues or clients. It is a truly social occasion and before long I am sharing a meal of noodles, delicious, delicate tempura prawns and stir fried vegetables with people that now feel like friends but who were strangers only a short time before.
